Brian’s “metal” Disney photos got a lot more recognition than we expected…and nobody made fun of that dork! Wait….
Anyway, one of the tweets we received in response to that post was from a young man from the United Kingdom named John Mosley (@superflysamurai). He and a friend by the name of Sam BR started a musical project called Mufasa, and Mufasa perform metal covers of songs from Disney movies! Awesome, right?
You are probably laughing now, and you may laugh through every song, but it’s only because, well, you realize a certain amount of ridiculousness in these songs being made metal (and you will probably picture the original movie while listening…don’t tell me you didn’t). However, these guys definitely know what they are doing on their instruments, and to rewrite songs from cute and cuddly movies into something probably more evil than Scar or Maleficent or any other Disney villain you can think of is just a stroke of genius in our book. The only thing that could make this better would be Disney music videos…
