I’m glad we’re all on the same page with Fleshgod. I really wasn’t sure what I was in for, but man, I did not enjoy that! I think I need to do a reset on what I consider a 1. Ever since the aural abomination that was Bereft raped my ear holes, I haven’t felt that anything else deserves that number. ….but we’ve crossed the 100 episode threshold, I think I can free that number up again!
I LOVE that idea for the drinking game! I’m going to go add it now
Everything you said about the new Fleshgod Apocalypse album is true. I had expected something much better than just constant epic bombast. Even though I tend to love epic bombast, it has to have some contrast. A short “prelude” in the middle of the album is not enough contrast in this case. And for as much as I like female vocalists in metal, the shriek from this one is quite grating.
Have I already suggested this for the drinking game? Every time Brian trashes an album but still gives it a 3.
