Episode 130: Disparate Contrasts

Sometimes landing scores in the middle doesn’t necessarily mean the album was just average.  Maybe it means some of it is awesome and some of it was not as inspired.  That is something discussed repeatedly by one of the hosts on this episode.  The other takes a more broad stance on his reviews, but in the end, they come to meet in the same place quite often.

  1. I agree with you guys about the Hark album, especially Nick. When Brian said it needs a hook or two, I’d say it needs a hook or ten.

I have another theory that nobody seems to be posing as to why Angela left Arch enemy: she might not be able to sing like that anymore. Singing death metal takes a big toll on the voice and many people can’t sing like that forever. At some point the strain on your voice gets to be so much that you just can’t do it anymore. Angela may have just reached that point.
