  1. Let me get this straight: Nick gives Magma a 4 and says he likes it better than L’Enfant Sauvage. But Nick’s top album of 2012 was L’Enfant Sauvage. Either L’Enfant Sauvage got worse over the past 4 years or 2012 was a pretty poor year for metal releases (I suppose both statements could be true).

    1. Yes. Both statements are relatively true, but more so the first. Sauvage just got stale to me really quick. I think I was over excited to be into the band when they were releasing a new album (I didn’t find them until The Way Of All Flesh), and at the time I was just pumped for a new release. In retrospect, it is the album of theirs I listen to the least and the songs to hook me nearly as well as any of the rest of their catalog – including Magma…..so far.
