Hit or Miss: The Sequel
This week’s selections were not as daunting to get through as last week’s were. However, (spoiler!) our feelings about them land in the same general area. You should hear what we have to say, though, instead of just going by the numbers, so get listening…
High on Fire – Electric Messiah (eOne)
Monuments – Phronesis (Century Media)
Wolfheart – Constellation of the Black Light (Napalm)
Montana
Walking Corpse Syndrome
High On Fire – Electric Messiah
Regarding Hire On Fire, I’m in the same realm as you guys in that they’ve never really stood out to me as being a favorite of mine. This year, I did finally get around to liking Matt Pike’s other band Sleep, so I thought maybe now that I like Sleep I’d like High on Fire. Nope. There’s nothing bad about Electric Messiah or other High On Fire albums, but it’s just not doing it for me.
