Reviews:
Red Fang – Arrows (Relapse)
Stormruler – Under the Burning Eclipse (Napalm)
Deadtide – The Rabbit Hole
You neglected to mention that Arrows by Red Fang contains their song entitled “Why” which they originally released on a Fraggle Rock album, believe it or not:
I feel like when Red Fang first burst onto the scene that they were touted as being the next Mastodon, but they have never lived up to that promise. And I still get Red Fang confused with Black Tusk.
Despite their names, Red Fang and Black Tusk are quite different. I don’t recall Red Fang being touted quite that way, but I feel like there was an expectation that Whales and Leeches was going to be huge. I remember a lot of hype around that album but it clearly didn’t have a dramatic impact.
