Arch Enemy

It’s Christmas!  Let’s Argue!

Well, your hosts don’t argue much here, but we welcome you to argue with us!  This week we share a few lists that are not our albums fo the year, including lists like Best Artwork (which you can see below), Most Disappointing, and Worst Albums.  Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.

We hope you have wonderful holiday with your friends and family!

Fandom Broken and Reborn

Some artists live long enough to see themselves become the villain. Some almost head to the dark side but come back to light. (Am I being nerdy enough for you?) And some seem unsure where they are going. Aaaaand that just about abstractly covers our discussions this week.

Getting Into Gear

Among the album reviews, First Impression, and live review we have for you this week, Nick and I had a little sidebar chat about headphones.  We mention our gear sometimes but, after an experience this week, we felt the need to stress the importance of decent personal listening equipment.  We hope you enjoy the talk (and feel free to participate via comments) but if you really don’t care, I will take this time to remind you that we include chapter skips.

Live and Well

Boy, do we have a packed show for you!  I don’t think we’ve made an episode this long in quite some time!  Four new reviews, two of which really get your hosts talking.  We also have not one, but TWO live reviews, which in our infinite awesomeness, we coordinated with two of album reviews. So, strap yourself in for good one, freaks!  Oh, and be sure to get talking with us in the comments!

As promised, this week’s show is about our supplemental lists.  A prelude, if you will, to the top albums of the year.  We trimmed the fat this year, so we only have six categories (yeah, there was more), including Best EP, Most Disappointing, and Best Art.  As in years past, the latter is done with a guest appearance from our good friend and kinda-in-house artist Mike Clancey.  Feel free to share your picks – or argue with ours – in the comments!
