Leftovers and Fresh Meat

So, now that you have recovered from your food comas and Black Friday shopping antics, you can can relax and check out some new tunes and reviews.   We were going to do one of these reviews last week, but, much like the album we reviewed, that show ran longer than we intended. We also have a live review!  It derails a bit into a discussion of setlists, production, and the overall execution of concerts, but that’s just as interesting a topic to get involved with, in our humble opinions.

I Think We Need a New Devil

As you may have already noticed, we only do three reviews this week.  There isn’s a shortage of releases yet and we haven’t gotten lazy (well, lazier). It was brought to our attention that, compared to other podcasts, we tend to run a little on the long side.  So, we are trying our hand at a more digestible show for you guys and what, in turn, becomes a less laborious task for us.

Want it even shorter? Want more content?  Want certain segments back? Let us know in the comments!!!

Upstarts and Old Farts

Ok, “old farts” isn’t really fair, but it sounds good in the title.  The point is half the reviews this week come from more established acts, while the other half (and our showcase) are still wet behind the ears.  Who does it better?  Well, that’s what you’re here to find out, right?  So get listening and let us know what you think!

Bring the Pain and Kick Out the Jams

We’re trying out something new this week with titling the episodes after getting some SEO pointers from my buddy in Deadtide.  I guess time will tell if it really helps.  ANYWAY…this week’s show is pretty meat-and-potatoes with your not-so-dynamic duo of hosts ripping through the standard four album reviews. The music however, is largely not as straight forward as the show itself, and quite varied in style…which i guess is standard for us at this point, isn’t it?  No matter – there is some good taters in here, so get listening!

“Wait. There’s a New Year’s tradition?” you ask.  Yeah, there is.  Thanks for paying attention he last few years…jerk.  Just kidding!  Anyway, since we have been doing the show, we have started the year off reviewing albums from best-of lists that we kinda skipped over during the previous year.  We also call this  “Shit We Missed.”  With the slow starts to the new years (as far as releases go) this is the perfect segue into them. Oh, we also kick off 2015 with a (Side)Showcase!

If you have albums we missed you think we need to give a spin, let us know in the comments! And if you want your band featured on the show, click the contact us link in the top right and expose yourself…
