Two of the bands we cover this week have been around for quite some time. In fact, your hosts have been following one of them for over half their lives! Sure, there are many more bands that fit that bill, but every now and then you just have that “when the hell did that happen?” moment.

It’s here! It’s finally here! Our top albums of the year list for you to argue over! I know you guys have been dying to get to this episode, so I’ll refrain form further exclamations and let you get into it! (Also, I hope you just read all that with the intended sarcasm.)
While this certainly isn’t the first time this has happened, it has been a while since all four reviewed album came from bands that have been discussed on the show previously. Over that time, the bands may (or may not) have changed, for better or worse. Your hosts’ tastes have definitely changed some too, also for better or worse. It’s that time! Time for Brian and Nick to share their top albums for 2013! And this year, there are more than ever! After individually making lists of more than 20 albums (beyond 20 was largely undecided when they worked on the collective list), the combined lists brought a Top 25!! There were so many great albums this year, it was hard not make a list this long. Realistically, it should be even longer because there are even more great albums that didn’t make the cut because of math, but there was just not enough time (and energy) to go further.
So, without further delay, here is The Sideshow Podcast’s Top 25 Albums of 2013! Feel free to discuss and debate (and leave your own lists) in the comments.
As we try to keep giving you the most bang for your proverbial buck, we bring you FIVE new album reviews this week! Awesome, right? Don’t say we never give you anything extra. Speaking of added bonuses, Kyle is absent again this week. Anyway, the albums this week cover a whole slew of different heavy stylings. However, while the music may display diversity, there is a lack of difference in opinion from your hosts. Not that that is a bad thing, as they do bring different perspectives and ultimately give some different ratings. It’s just kinda interesting to hear, and makes you wonder how outlying Kyle’s would be if we were to ever hear them.
