This is it, freaks.  The last show of the year!  And you know what that means, right?  Well, you should if you have been listening…it means The Sideshow Podcast reveals it’s Top 10 of 2012!!  And what a list it is.  We all agree this is a very respectable list, but what you discover throughout the episode is how very different our individual preferences in Metal are.  But that is what makes this show interesting, right?  RIGHT?!  Yeah, that’s what we thought.

Oh, and we also have one more honor, which we kick off the show with, and that is Best Debut Album.

Anyway, feel free to praise, discuss, argue, whatever the list here in the comments.  Also, be sure to keep an eye on the site because throughout the week, the hosts will be posting their personal Top 10 (or 25, as the case may be) lists.

Happy New Year everybody!  See ya in 2013!

This week we have part one of our end of the year honors!  Brian, Nick and Kyle give you what they think (and actually agree on sometimes!) are the Worst Albums, Most Improved Bands, Most Disappointing Albums, Most Overlooked Albums, Best Live Shows,  and, last but not least, the Best Album Artworks.  For the last honor, you disfunction SideShow hosts bring in none other than Mike Clancey, friend and designer of the SideShow logos, to share his thoughts on this year’s album covers since he actually has knowledge on the subject.  Lastly, we bring you a rundown of the couple of shows we caught over the last couple of weeks including Dethklok’s headlining run and Killswitch Engage’s Alive or Just Breathing 10th anniversary show in NYC.

Apparently my co-hosts beat to making these posts.  Oh well.

We covered a lot of this on the show, so I will try not bore you with rehashing everything.  But, again, I would to say how much I loathe doing lists.  I always feel like I am snubbing so many good or great albums because I try not to be bias just because I favor one sub-genre over another.  Ok, well, I am doing just that, but I don’t like it. For example, Tombs is third on my list but I cannot listen to that album in any frequency because it is just depressing.  However, August Burns Red, Unearth, Amon Amarth and other put out great albums that I listened to a ton of times, but they didn’t make the list.
