Rock is Not Dead, but Maybe Nu-Metal Should Be
Despite Marilyn Manson’s proclamation in 1998, Rock is not dead. It just kind of went into hiding. Rock hid in the underground, and also holed up with some other sub-genres…which it started doing way before 1998. Anyway, another thing that largely went into hiding only to rear it’s head again is Nu-Metal. While we have presented a few exceptions on this here podcast, we have probably given more examples as to why Nu-Metal should have stayed hidden. Unfortunately, we have an argument for the latter again this week. Oh, and we have some first impressions to discuss too, so if you are still reading this, hopefully you have started the show already.
