Choose a Side

We have some really good discussions this week, and a bunch of differing opinions. To the latter, Nick and Brian only completely agree on one of these albums.  So, we want YOU to get in on the conversation in the comments on the site or social media and choose a side!

And remember – Stay inside. Stay healthy.  Stay Metal.

Yeah, We Did It Too

As we discussed in 2019 closer Episode 405, we made “best of the decade” list too.  After collaborating on the 2010 picks (the podcast hadn’t started yet), we took the top 3 albums from each of our “Best of the Year” lists.  Since we didn’t want to repeat bands, we then together picked the best of the repeat offenders.  Next, we individually ranked the remaining albums before finally compiling them like we do the other “Best of the Year” lists.

Ya follow all that?  Good.

The result is solid, albeit a little odd. Merry Christmas freaks!  It’s been an, uh, interesting year.  We sincerely thank each and every one of you who listen to this podcast and support us in any way.  It is a fair amount of work, but even more fun, and it means a lot that we have all of you enjoying it! So thanks again being with us in 2016, and we look forward to a (hopefully better) 2017!  And now, enjoy our top albums of the year!!

P.S.  As you heard last week, in this episode and may have read in comments recently, Nick and I overlooked a few releases when talking about Most Disappointing, Best Debut, etc. You should know by now we aren’t always the sharpest crayons in the box. Well, adding to that list, we neglected to mention an EP we both enjoyed – Welcome to Poetry 201 by The Nietzsche. (Check out our 4 star review HERE if you missed it.) Sorry about that guys!

Darkness, Violence, and Death

Sounds pretty grim, right? It si, but it’s not as hopeless as you may be imagining.  While this may not be the most “diverse” line-up we have had, these albums interestingly juxtapose and compliment each other simultaneously…at least when you are trying to listen to all three during the week. Confused? Intrigued?  Then get listening…
