P.S.  As you heard last week, in this episode and may have read in comments recently, Nick and I overlooked a few releases when talking about Most Disappointing, Best Debut, etc. You should know by now we aren’t always the sharpest crayons in the box. Well, adding to that list, we neglected to mention an EP we both enjoyed – Welcome to Poetry 201 by The Nietzsche. (Check out our 4 star review HERE if you missed it.) Sorry about that guys!

Darkness, Violence, and Death

Sounds pretty grim, right? It si, but it’s not as hopeless as you may be imagining.  While this may not be the most “diverse” line-up we have had, these albums interestingly juxtapose and compliment each other simultaneously…at least when you are trying to listen to all three during the week. Confused? Intrigued?  Then get listening…

As anybody who has listened to this show a few times knows, I HATE doing these damn lists.    You and I both know the main reason is because I am extremely indecisive.  However, I also detest them because no matter how long I make the list (Kyle gets angry when I do more than 10) I still feel like I am slighting albums that don’t deserve it.   Then out of the albums I do pick, I have to split hairs over which ones I like more than others only to come up with a list I am not even sure I 100% agree with!  In the end, I have to get something together and just say, “Screw it.  It’s close enough.”
