It’s that time of the year again! That’s right, we have all of little lists that aren’t our favorite albums of the year! Also keeping with tradition, Mr. Mike Clancey joins us to discuss our favorite artwork of the year.
Two Overdue Big-Name Reviews…
…and some other band. I mean, we didn’t mean to overshadow Cognizance (which Brian says wrong almost every time), but it just kinda happened that way. We have a fair amount to say about all three, so make sure you say your piece int he comments or on social media!
Slipknot – We Are Not Your Kind (Roadrunner)
Killswitch Engage – Atonement (Metal Blade)
Cognizance – Malignant Dominion (Prosthetic)
It’s a week before Christmas and all through the podcast we were stirring, bitching, and moaning about making lists. I mean, we go through this every year, so you think we would just get over it. Anyway, as in years past, we have a few other short lists like Best Artwork (which you can see below), Most Disappointing, and Worst Albums. Enjoy these treats this week, and come back next week for the 2016 grand finale!
The holiday season is here, and you will be shopping on Amazon. Please consider changing your bookmark to our site and using the album art on the side to get there! Amazon will give us a small percent back from your purchase and we use that to keep the show and site up and running. Thanks!
We also have some other releases you may be looking for! Before you go taking them from us, you should hear us out and see if they really are ones you want. I promise we won’t be pulling some mind trick BS…we’re not that good.
Killswitch Engage – Incarnate (Roadrunner)
Gadget – The Great Destroyer (Relapse)
Droids Attack – Sci-Fi or Die (Riff Reaper)
Dead Empires – “True Believer”, new single recorded with Kurt Ballou at Converse Rubber Tracks in Boston, MA
Slugdge – “Slave Goo World” from forthcoming new album out later this year on Willowtip
Polar – “Tidal Waves and Hurricanes” from No Cure, No Saviour out May 6th from Prosthetic
Refreshed and reenergized, Nick and Brian return for another week Metal goodness. This time around, there are five new releases to analyze; some came out last week, some drop this week, but they all range from solid to fantastic…in our humble opinions, that is. We also have yet a mother live review from Brian’s recent throwdown in NYC. There’s a whole lot to get to, so you should probably stop reading this and start listening to the show. Seriously…stop reading. We’re done here.
