I told you posting the show late wouldn’t be a regular thing.  You’re welcome.  Anyway…in addition to our regular four-album lineup, we do something we haven’t done in a while and chat about some news from the past week!  There are two stories in particular and both are significant in their own right, so feel free to share your own thoughts about them in the comments.  Oh, and you can talk about he albums there too…or Nick and I…or suggest bands we should check out (we do follow those suggestions). But first, you have to listen to the show, so get moving.

The Agonist Eye of Providence (Century Media)
Bleeding Gods – Shepherd of Souls (Punishment 18)
Muck – Your Joyous Future (Prosthetic)
Torche Restarter (Relapse)

…and some stuff in between.  Translation: We dive into a previously-reviewed band’s back catalog, have a brand new release from this past week, and a few more Shit We Missed picks from 2013.  In the middle of the show, we discuss rip apart the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival lineup. Also, there are couple of points where we ask for your participation…and one of those instance is kinda line a challenge/mission.  Intrigued?  Well, even if you aren’t, you should listen to the episode anyway.  There is some good music in here.

It’s that time! Time for Brian and Nick to share their top albums for 2013!  And this year, there are more than ever!  After individually making lists of more than 20 albums (beyond 20 was largely undecided when they worked on the collective list), the combined lists brought a Top 25!! There were so many great albums this year, it was hard not make a list this long.  Realistically, it should be even longer because there are even more great albums that didn’t make the cut because of math, but there was just not enough time (and energy) to go further.

As we try to keep giving you the most bang for your proverbial buck, we bring you FIVE new album reviews this week! Awesome, right?  Don’t say we never give you anything extra.  Speaking of added bonuses, Kyle is absent again this week.  Anyway, the albums this week cover a whole slew of different heavy stylings.  However, while the music may display diversity, there is a lack of difference in opinion from your hosts.  Not that that is a bad thing, as they do bring different perspectives and ultimately give some different ratings.  It’s just kinda interesting to hear, and makes you wonder how outlying Kyle’s would be if we were to ever hear them.
