Hit the Road, Jack

Hey, we have three brand new albums again!  Imagine that…  Also, as promised last week, we have a rundown of all the tours in progress or coming around soon.  Well, not all of them.  I realized we missed at least two (and apparently got a few other pieces of information wrong…but that is the Internet’s fault), but that has all been fixed in the list below, so that counts for something.  Right? RIGHT?  That’s what I thought.

I told you posting the show late wouldn’t be a regular thing.  You’re welcome.  Anyway…in addition to our regular four-album lineup, we do something we haven’t done in a while and chat about some news from the past week!  There are two stories in particular and both are significant in their own right, so feel free to share your own thoughts about them in the comments.  Oh, and you can talk about he albums there too…or Nick and I…or suggest bands we should check out (we do follow those suggestions). But first, you have to listen to the show, so get moving.

Now that we have all enjoyed our nice, long, and probably drunken holiday weekend, it’s time to get back to the grind with some new music.  Ok, so some of this isn’t brandy new (like Sabbath), but it’s new enough.  Kyle is still running from the authorities after being caught with a huge stash of illegal fireworks* so he is not with us this week, but the (not-so) dynamic duo of Nick and Brian pulled through to bring you a fresh show, even if it is a little bit later than normal.  There’s new albums, new first impressions, and some new terms and labeling Brian makes up while running his mouth. So, in the end, it’s business as usual.

Before you listen to this podcast, go grab a beer.  We’ll wait… … …you back? Good.  As some of you may recall us mentioning in Episode 23 that we would eventually make a drinking game based off of a bunch of comments we received on Episode 22.  Well, the wait is now over because in this episode we reveal the rules of The Official SideShow Podcast Drinking Game*!  Not only that, but in a move that is in no way a bad idea, your three host play said game during this episode!  (But do not expect this to become a regular thing…) While this is happening, we provide our sometimes-very-diferent views on four new releases, during one of which, Nick provides what is possibly the best review the show has ever seen.  That doesn’t necessarily mean it is a positive review…it’s just done so well, Kyle and Brian are left almost speechless.  Almost…
