This is it! It is finally the end of 2020, and at the 11th hour, we are sharing our Top 20 albums fo the year. Why did we wait so long? Mostly because Brian forgot to post it days ago. But also because we wanted to go out with a bang? Sure…let’s go with that….

Great list, guys. I certainly can’t argue with any of it, and BCI is a great pick for number 1. Even though we only had a little overlap, if I made a top 20 instead of a top 10 then a lot of your list would fall in my numbers 11 through 20, such as Deftones, The Ocean, Xenobiotic, Caligula’s Horse, Pallbearer, and Protest the Hero. And there’s several other albums on your list that interest me that I simply didn’t get around to listening to, probably due to the fact that in 2020 I listened to some things that were only “metal adjacent”, such as a number of prog bands. Even Nightwish has to be considered metal adjacent at this point in their career.
