Episode 452: Trivium, Frontierer, Four Stroke Baron, Deviant Process 2021 Album Reviews

What Could Be Construed as a Melody

We got a couple of big ones again this week, and – as we note in the show – there are more big ones to come.  Maybe it’s because of the pandemic, but the year’s release schedule seems to be ending in a bang instead of the usual whimper. Oh, and we have a little live review too!

Speaking of live music, we know that touring is off to a rocky (re)start. Do you want to help support the touring and venue crews who are first getting back to work? Go to THIS PAGE to find out how you can help this podcast contribute to Crew Nation and make us review whatever you want.

  1. I believe I have purchased the album of the year today… which you will be reviewing on your next episode.

  2. The theme for this week is albums I am interested in listening to but there is so much good music being released right now that I can’t listen to all of it. All four of those albums you reviewed this week interest me on some level, with Trivium being the highest.  I really liked Trivium’s 2020 album “What the Dead Men Say”, even if it didn’t make my top 10 that year. But I have yet to buy their new album “In the Court of the Dragon” because there’s a lot of music I’m listening to right now and I simply haven’t gotten around to Trivium yet. And with Archspire and Mastodon being released this week, I don’t know when I’ll get around to Trivium. I will say that the three songs pre-released off of Archspire’s new album have already given their new album the potential to be the album of the year.
